It was a nice place with great location. The triple rooms were very spacious and the high ceilings were making it even better. The heating worked perfectly and we wouldn't get cold in the room. The breakfast was quite ok, with very Check cuisine.
The staff was helpful but only when you ask for, when smth would finish at breakfast you'd have to ask for it every time. That is the only minus which might be mentioned.
Location of the hotel is the best that I can see! Old city center, shops, restraunts - everything is very close!
Just shower in a bathroom, everything is very old. Would be nice to have a good bath to rest after long walking in the old town.
I liked its location and the quiet room.
Staff professional but not friendly.
The location is superb, a 5 minute stroll from the Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square and the Charles Bridge, Reception staff were very friendly and cheerful and the breakfast was perfectly adequate for our needs. Room was very clean and surprising large (triple room booked). Would definitely use again.
We really appreciated the central location - you could walk to many of the city centre attractions from the hotel and public transport was close at hand if necessary. The reception staff were very helpful - we needed an early morning departure and they arranged an early wake-up call and taxi service. The room was clean and spacious too.
The dining room is small. You were left to fend for yourself which is fine once you know your way around the self service buffet, but it was not so easy on our first morning when people were competing for tables at breakfast! The quality of food on the breakfast buffet was OK but nothing special - reasonable value given the price we paid for our accommodation.
The location of this hotel was the first we like. In second, the buffet breakfast but everything else was wrong.
The beds are to hard, not made during our stay, even the first day ! The ac do not operate. The noice of our neighbordrooms are very high. No new glasses glasses during our stay, or never the less, no change in the glasses. The breakfast was quite good for buffet, but we must come in the breakfast area (8 am), because no change when the first portion of one thing was finished. Ac do not operate under 22° Celsius. We like normally, to sleep with 15° c in the room.
The location is excellent, right in the Old Town. The staff are helpful and friendly.
On the top floor, at least, the air con is very weak. You are also supposed to pay a few euros extra for it. Don't bother, it makes no material difference if the weather is hot.
Location is perfect, it's very close to Old Town. Room is quite large, has perfect atmosphere with romantic wallpaper&curtain. Comfortable bed&clean bathroom and nice breakfast with perfect price/benefit balance. Best place to stay in Prague!
Central location for touring. Nice breakfast included. Helpful English-speaking staff. Quiet rooms.
Musty stale smelling hallways, old building & furnishings
I liked very much the location in Stare Miasto, the architecture of the building and the privacy of this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. I had a good time in Old Pragur Hotel.
The size of the room was excellent for European standards. The bed was very comfortable. The location was excellent. Near by restaurants were fantastic.
Cleaning staff provided a very poor service. For the four nights we were there the staff did not replenished the soap, did not tidy bath room, did not sweep and mop bathroom, did not vacume carpet, did not replace the room with clean glasses. On the third day we asked reception to ask cleaner to provided soap and clean the bathroom and room. This was done after we asked. Te reception lady was very sweet. The gemtleman David was helpful but not did not look happy. I think working 12 hours a day took its toll. The hotel can make a lot more money if reception staff were more friendly. The lady did not know the tram lines on the map. Given that many visitors would want this information it would help guests for the staff to be aware of local knowledge. The reception staff at other hotels are great with helping guests with information on the maps. David did give us a map.
It´s really beautiful small hotel with family atmosphere, extremely efficient and friendly staff always willing to help with all enquiries. Clean, quiet room, good breakfast and the location could not be better. Free internet access is very handy !
Location was good.
Too expensive for what the hotel provides. There will be better value places to stay if you shop around.
the location was very very good. the Old World charm of the hotel i.e. the beautiful ornate iron design all along the stairways. having the lift was great for me. breakfasts were excellent.
i would have liked to have a coffeemaker in the double room. oddly enough, my first night there i was in a single room which had a coffeemaker and a small refrigerator but when i switched to a double (for single use) it did not have these items. However, the staff were very helpful in this regard and upon request provided a thermos of boiled water, teabags, coffee. But coffee making items would be wonderful to have, especially in the double rooms.
The hotel is within a short walk of all the centrel attractions of Prague but not in a touristy location, there are lots of good reasonable restaurants close by. The rooms are recently refurbished, though lack a/c... the breakfast included is excellent though the dining room is rather too small for the number of rooms.... an excellent choice, a family owned small confortable central hotel.
